Aimee Kippen

Hi, I’m Aimee, and I love working with children to help them reach their communication goals! I believe that children are the voice of the future, and I work to empower every child with the confidence and ability to communicate in their own unique way.

With previous experience in Before & After School Care, I have a keen understanding of the importance of communication to the development and wellbeing of children. I strive to provide a supportive environment to allow children to achieve their communication potential! Working collaboratively with families (as they know their children best!), I make sure therapy is goal-driven to meet children’s and families’ needs. I also have a keen interest in collaborating with children’s wider community, including preschool educators and teachers, to provide a holistic approach to intervention. With the knowledge that every child has individual needs, interests, and experiences, I deliver therapy personalised to your child to ensure they learn and flourish in a fun, welcoming, and nurturing space!

I completed my Bachelor of Speech, Hearing and Language Science and my Masters of Speech Language Pathology at Macquarie University. I am a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and focus on evidence-based therapy and continually enhance my skills through professional development. I have completed additional professional development in literacy, including the synthetic phonics programme Sounds-Write, as well as the Making Spelling Stick course through SPELD NSW. I have also previously completed training in Getting on Track - The Got It! Program that focuses on Emotion Coaching through NSW Health.

I love working with every client, but have particular interest in supporting literacy, speech sounds, early language development, and school-aged language.

When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family and friends, relax with my two cats, and recharge by puzzling or looking after my collection of orchids!
