Harriet Tilbrook
Hi, I’m Harriet! I’m a Speech Pathologist who absolutely loves making therapy fun! I believe that when kids enjoy what they’re doing, they learn best, which is why I love to make every session playful, meaningful, and tailored to their unique strengths and interests.
As someone who saw a Speech Pathologist at an early age, I experienced firsthand the importance of making therapy both fun and functional —something I now strive to bring to every session. As a clinician, I am committed to providing engaging, meaningful therapy that is goal-driven, evidence-based, and family-centered. I am passionate about helping each child find their voice, in whatever way that may look for them.
I completed my Bachelor of Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences at Macquarie University, followed by my Masters of Speech Pathology at The University of Sydney. I am a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and am committed to continually expanding my knowledge and learning through ongoing professional development.
I am certified in Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk and the Sounds-Write Literacy Program and have completed training in the Lidcombe Program for stuttering, PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), and DIRFloortime.
While I am passionate about all areas of speech pathology, I have a particular interest in speech sound difficulties, early language, and literacy development.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll likely find me at the beach, exploring new restaurants (I’m a sushi fanatic!), or enjoying a competitive game of Bananagrams or Monopoly Deal with my family!
