Steph William

Hey, I’m Steph! I am so lucky to have a job where I can have fun while supporting kids to find their voices! Therapy should be a creative, flexible, and comfortable space, and I always aim to create that safe environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities.

In my experience, parents are always the experts on their kids. I work with families to collaboratively set functional, evidence-based goals and strategies, so that kids can carry their confidence with them each time they leave the clinic. Every child is different, and I work to ensure that therapy is unique and personal to each.

I completed my Bachelor of Medical Science and Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Technology Sydney. As a Certified Practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia, I’ve committed to keeping myself up to date with new research, and continually engage in professional development.

Prior to pursuing Speech Pathology, I studied Journalism and have carried that love of the written word along with me! I’ve completed training for Sounds-Write and Talk For Writing, programs that I use to support kids with their literacy and written expression skills. I’m also Lidcombe Program and Oakville Program trained, which allows me to support children in overcoming their stutters. I’ve also had the opportunity to do almost 10 years of community work supporting teens, which allows me to bring a unique perspective to working with this age group. When I’m not supporting kids with literacy or stuttering, I also enjoy supporting social skills with neurodiversity affirmation at the forefront.

Whenever I’m not at work, you’ll find me reading five different books at the same time, exploring the city’s restaurants with friends, or cuddling every dog I pass on the street! If you’re looking to lose a game of Monopoly Deal or Uno, you know who to call!
